Aggregates

The aggregate industry requires many variations of heavy-duty polythene bags, all of which can be manufactured on our Northamptonshire site, to hold items such as sands and gravel. Some of the tailorable qualities of the bags manufactured are as follows:

We hold a stock of 25kg and 40kg plain aggregate sacks. They are low slip, clear polythene and supplied in minimum quantities of 10,000 bags (1 pallet).

Agriculture

Crop film, mulch film, micro-perforated film (10mm and 70mm perforations) as well as lettuce film, strawberry film and co-extruded crop film, are all manufactured here at Povoas Packaging. Bespoke printing is available, and the film can be made up to 3m wide or 3m opening up to 6m. The micron/gauge of the film can be adjusted to meet your requirements – more specific details can be discussed with our experienced on site sales team.



Building

We manufacture various building packaging products including builders’ film, brick stack covers and damp proof membrane. Polythene for building uses can be:

Courier

Polythene courier bags are the most practical, cost effective way of transporting goods which is why we are pleased to be able to manufacture an extensive range of colours, sizes and print options for despatch sacks and courier bags. The investment in three 3-layer co-extrusion lines, two with 6 colour inline presses, has allowed us not only to tailor the film performance to each individual customer’s requirements, but also to offer a complete range of film colours and 100% opacity – vital for this type of product.

Our courier bags and despatch sacks can have:

Flooring

The most economic, reliable packaging for all types of flooring and underlay is super-strength film.  Produced thinner than standard polythene, it gives a better yield and is both cheaper and more environmentally friendly.   
We can offer:

Furniture and textile

Large super-strength bags can be manufactured as packaging for mattresses, sofas, chairs and cushions. The super-strength film requires less micron thus reducing the cost and having a lesser effect on the environment. Thanks to our warehousing facilities, we can either stock-hold your product or a “call-off” system can be arranged to ensure continuity of supply. We provide packaging film to a number of manufacturing companies supplying into consumer product markets such as flooring, furniture and mattresses.

We are renowned for our high-quality co-extruded horticultural film with the highest resolution, bespoke printing. The film can be perforated; up to 3m in width and Form Fill and Seal film for automated applications.
We also manufacture bottom weld rubble sacks which can be coreless bags on a roll; gusseted or non-gusseted and of which the micron, size, branding and colour can be tailored to meet your requirements.

In addition to this, we produce thick micron film available for seed tray applications, reflective film for glasshouses and wicketed produce bags.

Medical

The recent installation of a mini grip convertor has enabled the manufacture of printed and plain mini grip seal bags on site. The press to close zipper bags are made from LDPE and can be produced in a variety of colours, microns and sizes. Manufactured and delivered in 4 weeks, the reusable packaging keeps products fresher for longer; is ideal for keeping product clean and dust free and enables brand recognition by offering high visibility and presentation.

In addition to grip seal bags, clear polythene bags with a pad insert are also manufactured at Povoas Packaging for the transportation of biohazardous substances such as blood and urine samples. The bags can be tailored to comply with your needs, such customisable factors include size, print and thickness. With a glue strip for secure sealing and a tear line for easy access, the bags are ideal for the safe carriage, containment and contact of biological specimen.
